Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) said on Tuesday that it has already received 535 bookings for the luxury SUV Santa Fe. The most expensive product in its portfolio at Rs 21-23 lakh, and its third attempt at selling an SUV in India after the Tucson and Terracan, the new Santa Fe was launched only two weeks back. Mr H.W.Park, MD and CEO, HMIL said, “It is a matter of great pride for us to have received such an encouraging response for our recently launched luxury SUV. Looking at the initial customer response, we might even consider importing larger numbers for next year.” The bookings for the Santa Fe opened on October 18 and closed on October 30. The company has planned to take only limited number of bookings as the Santa Fe is imported as a completely built-up unit from South Korea.
